The City of Stamford is Recruiting qualified candidates for the position of Assistant Corporation Counsel.

POSITION: Under the general direction of the Corporation Counsel and the Deputy Corporation Counsel, advises City officials, agencies, boards, commissions and employees on a variety of legal matters and represents their interests in court and before other tribunals; does related work as assigned/required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Graduation from an accredited law school; admission to the Bar of the State of Connecticut and membership in good standing of the Bar of the State of Connecticut; three (3) years of full-time experience in the practice of law; and, if not already admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, eligibility for such admission.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Land-use and real estate, municipal or government law, contracts, and litigation experience, or some combination of the above
